Clinic Guidelines for COVID-19
Berk Chiropractic and Sports Care continues to closely monitor information related to COVID-19. Below is an outline of the steps the clinic has taken to continue to provide excellent chiropractic care while safely adjusting the clinic to this new normal.
What are we doing?
Based on recommendations developed by the CDC and the World Health Organization (WHO), alongside local health policy recommendations, the following protocols are in place to minimize the risk to all patients, staff and providers:
-
The office is thoroughly cleaned each evening with additional cleaning cycles performed throughout the day. All surfaces are wiped down in between patients.
-
We use Cavicide and ProTex to clean all surfaces. These are EPA-registered hospital-grade disinfectants.
-
Our sanitation effort includes sanitizing the chiropractic table, armrests, exercise and medical equipment between each appointment.
-
Multiple hand sanitizer stations are available throughout the clinic.
-
We are scheduling fewer appointments to reduce the amount of people in the clinic at any one time.
-
We have removed the majority of the chairs from the waiting room to accommodate for appropriate social distancing measures.
-
The front desk is protected with a plexiglass screen. We are currently not accepting cash. Checks, cards (debit, credit, FSA/HSA), and NFC devices (Apple Pay, Google Pay, Android Pay, etc.) continue to be accepted. If you pay by check, please fill it out before your appointment.
-
All staff and providers are wearing appropriate medical grade face masks.
-
We have removed all non-essential waiting room and front desk items.
-
Any staff or provider who are sick are being instructed to stay home.
What are we asking you to do?
We ask that all patients and visitors adhere to the Centers for Disease Control recommendations:
-
Frequent and thorough hand washing for at least 20 seconds.
-
Hand sanitizer is available throughout the clinic and there is soap and water available in the restrooms.
-
Avoid touching your eyes, nose and mouth with unwashed hands.
-
Stay home when you are sick.
-
Where and when possible, patients are asked not to bring guests with them into the office during their visit, unless assistance is required.
-
Please wear a mask to your appointment.
